Last month, Africa Oil Week won the "Event of the Year (over 1,000 attendees)" award at the Conference and Events Awards.
The five-day event held in October 2022, once again had a huge impact on the global energy community by bringing together 50 ministers and government leaders, more than 300 distinguished speakers, and 2,000 senior delegates to deliver deals and transactions between the public and private sectors.
The Conference and Events Awards judges were highly impressed with the event's features. They recognised its outstanding rebook rate, the event's commitment to returning to Africa and its impressive growth metrics. The judges also acknowledged the event's influential nature in addressing critical themes, exemplified by a substantial program of distinguished speakers. “When so many events take from their hosts, this incredible event gives. It's wonderful to see,” they said.
